Our mission

Awesome Artist Studio is a place where anyone can come and sit down, listen to good music, and hang out. You can paint ceramics, if you want, and we have a large selection of blank ceramic pieces. You can work on clay projects, you can paint a canvas or use the space to work on some installation or whatever you want. We are a team of artists that believe in the "Art for Art's Sake concept: The French Slogan, from the early 19th century, ''l'art pour l'art'', expresses a philosophy that the intrinsic value of art, and the only "true" art, is divorced from any didactic, moral or utilitarian function". We rather believe that art improves all those traits, however each individual is free to choose how he or she wants to manifest their own creativity. When translating that concept into a method that would work for our studio, and our community, we have come up with a very relaxed method, that allows our students to discover their own pace and style. Art is not like math, or physics. There isn't a formula, despite what some of the other methods out there may say, and if you try to use one, your creativity will be constrained into that specific method. There are indeed skills and techniques, and that's what we teach at our studio: our goal is to give each student the necessary tools, knowledge, inspiration and confidence to enter the world of their own creativity and let their imagination flow, according to their own pace, and each age group will be accessed differently. We will show our students how to find their own solutions, offering exercises where they will learn how to use the mediums, and offering suggestions of project concept. We like the Waldorf Education Method, and the freedom it allows it's students to learn according to their own pace. Our mission is to provide the Coronado community and its families the oportunity to do art, live art and be art. We are the only business focused in teaching art and facilitating the existence of art in this community, and we are very proud and very honored with this beautiful and unique opportunity to make a difference in people's ilves.
